Bright Screens, Bright Minds
Bright Screens, Bright Minds is a fictional PSA written and directed by me, inspired by the warmth, clarity, and educational tone of early 2000s children’s programming from PBS and Sesame Street. The goal was to create an engaging, visually playful piece that delivered a positive message while maintaining professional studio production standards.
The project was recorded live in-studio using a multi-camera setup, with a technical director and audio supervisor working directly under my direction. The production included three separate sets, each shot on its own camera, along with integrated animation. I oversaw the creative direction, performance, pacing, and overall narrative flow, ensuring consistency across live-action and animated elements.
The final piece blends nostalgic inspiration with polished studio execution, resulting in an energetic and cohesive PSA. This project remains one of my favorite pieces to write and direct, showcasing my ability to lead complex productions, manage studio teams, and translate creative concepts into engaging visual storytelling.
